Mark Okeny is the owner and founder of Easy Care Residential, bringing over a decade of experience in delivering exceptional services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and dual diagnoses. His profound understanding of the complexities involved in working with these populations has been pivotal in creating an inclusive and supportive environment.

Mark began his career at USM, majoring in human biology and working in the Wise Laboratory of Environmental and Genetic Toxicology. His subsequent transition to psychology laid the foundation for his expertise and passion in working with intellectually disabled individuals, as well as those with autism and dual diagnoses.
Mark is highly skilled in developing personalized care plans and possesses extensive knowledge of HCBS (Home and Community-Based Services), self-direction, supported decision-making models, and QBIS (Qualified Brain Injury Specialist). His hands-on leadership has cultivated a team committed to upholding the highest standards of care.

Mark’s dedication to expanding ECR’s reach and enhancing staff training programs, along with his commitment to creating a nurturing environment for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and dual diagnoses, makes him an invaluable asset. He has also assisted multiple organizations in building teams and understanding the regulations surrounding HCBS and more.

Before founding ECR, Mark Okeny worked as a Program Manager at Intensive Residential Treatment & Housing programs for individuals with severe mental health issues and later as Case Manager. He also served on the safety committee and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, contributing to the implementation of HCBS. House Manager, Program Manager, Case Manager, and Director of Operations. With his leadership and expertise, we are confident in our continued positive impact on those we serve.

Amy is an accomplished Executive Director with over 20 years of experience in the field of residential services. Her extensive career is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those she serves.

Throughout her career, Amy has held several key positions, including Senior Director, Regional Director, Program Manager, Human Resources Manager and Staff Educator. In each of these roles, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in residential services. Her strategic vision and ability to drive positive change have been instrumental in the success of the programs she has overseen.

Amy’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident through her service as a DEI board member. In this capacity, she has championed initiatives that promote a more inclusive and equitable environment for both staff and residents.

One of Amy’s notable achievements is her significant role in the implementation of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). Her expertise and dedication have been crucial in ensuring that these services are delivered effectively, providing individuals with the support they need to live fulfilling and independent lives.

As an Executive Director, Amy continues to inspire and lead with passion and integrity. Her extensive experience and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to our organization.

Kim’s unique combination of strategic planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills have enabled her to excel in her role of Program Manager. Kim’s understanding of the importance of compassion, communication, and patience allows her to assist our members in creating a meaningful life while achieving their individual goals.

Kim has worked in the field for over 27 years, starting as a DSP and working her way up to Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Case Manager, and Quality Assurance Analyst, providing her with an invaluable wealth of knowledge in all aspects of residential services.

Liz is an experienced administrative support professional who brings energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the role. With extensive experience in creating positive direction and driving projects toward their ultimate goals, Elizabeth ensures that our leadership team has the tools to provide safe, quality care.
Elizabeth began her career as a Direct Support Professional in 2016, where she provided direct care to members for many years. Wanting to grow her career but remain in the field, Liz took a position as an Administrative Assistant, most recently taking on the task of Quality Assurance.

Emmanuel is a dedicated Quality and Compliance Manager with over six years of experience in the field of residential services. His career is marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Emmanuel’s journey in residential services began with his role as a House Manager, where he honed his skills in managing daily operations and providing exceptional care to residents. His ability to create a safe and nurturing environment quickly earned him recognition and respect within the community.

Building on his success, Emmanuel took on the role of Shared Living Provider. In this position, he demonstrated his expertise in coordinating and overseeing shared living arrangements, ensuring that all residents received personalized and compassionate support.

As a Quality and Compliance Manager, Emmanuel leverages his extensive experience to uphold rigorous standards and drive continuous improvement. His keen eye for detail and unwavering dedication to compliance make him an invaluable asset to any organization.
